It’s been a year since my twins graduated from college and stepped into the next chapter of their lives. A year of change, growth, and the kind of real-world lessons that no syllabus can prepare you for.
There’s such a stark contrast between the college experience and full independence. I still remember being 22—thinking I had it all figured out — until life quickly proved otherwise. There’s no syllabus for adulthood. No one reminding you of deadlines or covering the cost of rent and utilities. Learning how to deal with landlords, manage a budget, and face the demands of full-time work without the comfort of semester breaks — it’s a steep climb.
Why God’s Word Has Been Our Anchor
As I’ve watched my kids navigate this transition, I’ve found myself reflecting, praying, and remembering that there’s one thing that hasn’t changed through it all: the power of God’s Word.
Scripture has been our steady place — our anchor in the middle of change. In moments of uncertainty, verses about God’s provision, His presence, and His peace have grounded our hearts and reminded us that He is always near.
